Survival Bag

Disasters like a Earthquakes, fires, and floods can strike at any time,  so it's important to be prepared. 
( = You never know when a disaster might hit.)
Today I went through my emergency "go bag," which I check regulary every six months. 
I replaced the emergency food with new items that have longer expiration dates.
The key idea behind a survival bag is to have three days' worth of essentials ready, so you can evacuate without delay if someting happens. 
You shuold include things like a note with your family's meeting point and important documents. 
Even the latest smartphone is useless if communication networks go down. 
That's why it's important to also prepare analog tools for getting information, like a hand-crank radio. 
I belive being prepared for a disaster isn't optional. It needs to be part of everyday life.
