Benefits of secondhand trading

I do a lot of secondhand trading. 
I'm usually too busy on weekdays, but I'll do as many as 4 or 5 transactions on weekends. 
I'm mostly a seller, and so far I've sold around 200 items.
Making money by selling things I don't use anymore at home is a lot of fun. 
As I cleared out so many items, I started thinking "If I was going to sell this anyway, why did I buy it in first place?". 
If I am selling unused things, that means they were unnecessary purchases to begin with. 
So now before I buy anything, I ask myself several times "Do I really need this?". 
As a result, I've naturally become less greedy, and I've been able to save more money. 
When I look around my home, It feels more open after getting rid of the clutter. 
That makes it feel like my chest has been cleared out too.
